An Update from the NCIL Housing Subcommittee

By Brian Peters, Housing Subcommittee Chair

The NCIL Housing Subcommittee has been hard at work monitoring the negotiations over federal appropriations. While we are not pleased with the result of the negotiations, we do recognize that it was the best possible result at the time. We believe that more funding is necessary for housing assistance for persons with disabilities. Toward that end, the Housing Subcommittee recently updated our portion of the Spring 2014 edition of the NCIL Legislative & Advocacy Priorities Booklet in advance of the upcoming NCIL Congressional Briefing & Reception on February 26th in the Capitol Visitor Center. Please encourage your Representative and Senators to attend. Registration is available at ncil.org/reception.

We are also interested in new members with an expertise in housing. If you are interested, please contact Denise Law at [email protected].
