Call for Volunteers

Dear Advocates and Friends,

This July, hundreds of advocates will gather in our nation’s capital for NCIL’s 2013 Annual Conference on Independent Living. NCIL is very committed to keeping costs low to make the conference as affordable as possible for our conference attendees. By volunteering at the NCIL Annual Conference, you provide others in the Independent Living community the opportunity to attend the conference at affordable rates.

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy - You vote in elections once a year but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live inWe are looking for volunteers to provide assistance at the conference, and we have incentives for those who do!

We know some of your staff must attend all conference activities, but if there are others that may not normally get to come to the conference, volunteering may be the perfect opportunity for them. If you or your staff volunteers more than 5 hours during the conference, half of the volunteer’s registration fee is waived. If you or your staff person volunteers 10 or more hours, the volunteer’s full registration fee will be waived.

If you are interested in signing up to volunteer, please fill out the volunteer sign-up form by June 15, 2013. Volunteer spaces are limited and filled on a first come, first served basis.
