The first 100 days of the Trump administration are over. We’ve managed to save healthcare so far, but the war is still waging. Today, the House of Representatives will vote on an amended version of the American Healthcare Act (AHCA), which would roll back protection for those with pre-existing conditions, gut Medicaid, and give states the option of deciding what services to cover – meaning that people in need of certain healthcare services could be forced to move just to get the care they need. Make no mistake: the lives of all people with disabilities are in jeopardy from this bill.
