We’ve recently heard from NCIL members in several states, including GA, IL, TX, and WI, who have seen decreases in their FY 2016 funding levels. Our understanding is that the Administration for Community Living (ACL) is making cuts to the Independent Living Program due to “administrative set asides”. We have contacted ACL for an explanation, and they will be putting together a one-pager to explain what’s happening, which we will distribute widely.
